Last Thursdaty 21st our Partner and Director of International Operations, José María Viñals, received the notable award in the bi-annual 40 under Forty awards ceremony, an event organized by the magazine Iberian Lawyer, which recently celebrated its fifth edition. For our law firm, it is a tremendous honour to be able to count on the daily efforts and experience of a lawyer of such a high standard.
As the managing director and founder of Lupicinio Abogados, this achievement is particularly important to me. When Jose Maria joined Lupicinio he was only 29 years old, becoming our youngest partner at the firm. Since then he has been a tireless worker and a great friend, who has always worked closely with us to make Lupicinio International Law Firm an internationally recognized firm.
These awards, which were handed out last night in a celebratory gala in Barcelona, recognize the accomplishments of the most impressive 40 lawyers under 40 years old who work in Spain and Portugal. A jury formed of directing partners of legal firms, many different law schools, bar associations and consultants are those who choose the final winners.
José María received his award yesterday in Barcelona, 10 years after his incorporation into the Lupicinio family, and it is a reflection of the excellent work that he has carried out throughout his entire career and especially that of the last 10 years. During this time he has expanded our department for International Operations, so that we are now operating in Cuba, Algeria, Iran and the Middle East. His work at the international level has paved the way for our recognition in the Chambers and Partners rankings as one of the most important international law firms globally.
Because of all this I feel very proud of the achievement of the “40 under 40” for José María Viñals and a profound gratitude for the work he has carried out at this firm. I hope that he continues to bring his invaluable experience and knowledge to Lupicinio Law Firm and continues his professional growth in our family.
Finally, I want to congratulate the winner himself, and I am sure that this will not be his last award he receives in his professional career.
