The meeting, chaired by our Managing Partner, Lupicinio Rodríguez, took place in a constructive and forward-looking environment, allowing for a strategic discussion of key matters relating to international legal advisory, the regulatory landscape in Cuba, and the identification of joint projects of mutual interest. During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on the role of international law firms in complex and evolving environments, highlighting the importance of combining local expertise with a global approach in order to deliver effective and tailored legal solutions.
This type of initiative reinforces LILF’s positioning as a firm with a well-established international presence and, in particular, in the Cuban market, where it maintains a recognised legal practice. In this regard, LILF has been consistently recognised for many years by Chambers & Partners in both its Global Guide, including the 2026 edition in the Global Business Law: International Firms – Cuba category (Band 3), and its Latin America Guide, also in the 2026 edition in the Corporate/Commercial: International Firms – Cuba section (Band 3), which reflects the strength and continuity of our track record in the Cuban jurisdiction.
The meeting with CONABI forms part of the Firm’s broader strategy of international expansion and consolidation, aimed at strengthening alliances with leading firms and further developing a robust and specialised legal practice in key markets.
