The European Union (EU) has removed Bahamas, Belize, Seychelles, and Turks and Caicos Islands from its list of non-cooperative jurisdictions for tax purposes. The updated list now includes 12 jurisdictions, whose removal is based on their engagement in a constructive dialogue with the EU or their successful implementation of necessary reforms in the areas of tax transparency, fair taxation and international standards against base erosion and profit shifting.
EU finance ministers update the list twice a year and the removal of these jurisdictions is recognition of their efforts to address the issues identified.
