We are pleased to share with you an article published on the webside WORLDecr, by Fátima Rodríguez González, Head of the International Law Department at LILF, in collaboration with Professor José Luis Iriarte, Professor of Private International Law at the Public University of Navarra, on the regulation, implementation and enforcement of European sanctions in Spain. This is an issue that requires urgent and much-needed change.
It is worth noting that the application of sanctions in Spain is divided between six different ministries, which in turn are divided into different sub-secretariats. Similarly, the regulation of the application of sanctions is scattered throughout Spanish legislation and there is no uniformity. Both situations lead to overlapping competences when it comes to the enforcement of European economic sanctions in our country.
WORLDecr is a leading global legal publisher specialising in news, analysis and research on international export controls and sanctions. The platform has established itself as a trusted resource for legal professionals, providing detailed and up-to-date information that facilitates understanding and compliance with global regulations in these areas.
