Mexico achieves record exports to the US: 78.287 billion dollars in the first two months of the year
During the first two months of the year, Mexico strengthened its position as the United States’ main trading partner by reaching a record number of exports. Mexico’s shipments to the United States between January and February were worth 78.287 billion dollars, an increase of 7.7% over the 72.669 billion dollars accumulated in the same period of the previous year, according to data published on Thursday by the US Census Bureau.

Underestimated threats to the global financial system
High government debt and the current environment of weak economic growth can disrupt markets and make them dependent on central banks. These threats are: the share of global financial assets held by non-bank financial institutions, which have risen from 25% in 2008 to 47.2% in 2022; the fact that more than 30,000 companies have delisted since 2005; and the increase in debt in advanced economies, which has risen from 110% of GDP in the 1950s to 278% in 2022.
