EXPERIENCE
María Pardo de Vera has more than 20 years of experience in the Privacy and Compliance sector. She has an extensive training in Privacy, Technology and Innovation. She has been certified as an Expert in Implementation of Information Security Management Systems by Applus and as a Compliance Expert by ICAM. She has also received training on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
MERITS AND RECOGNITIONS
In 2021 María obtained the recognition of Accésit of the “Emilio Aced” Personal Data Protection Research Award granted by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD), for her work ‘Innovation, privacy and equality’.
María has been certified as a Data Protection Officer (DPD) by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD). She is a part of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (APEP). She is also a member of the Board of Directors and Head of the Technology Committee of Women in a Legal World.
In the academic field, María is a lecturer on the Master’s Degree in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Data Protection, Audiovisual and Society in the Privacy and Data Protection module of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She is also a lecturer on the Executive Master’s Degree in Digital Law and Technology at Centro de Estudios Garrigues in the modules “Information and Communications Society Services” and “Electronic and Audiovisual Communications Services – Criminal Compliance”.
