Experience
Catherine Perez-Ruibal practises as a solicitor and acts as legal counsel in all instances before the civil, commercial and contentious-administrative courts, including the Courts of First Instance, Commercial Courts, Provincial Courts, High Courts of Justice, Supreme Court and Constitutional Court, in declaratory and enforcement proceedings.
She has notable experience in litigation, having defended national and international clients at all stages of proceedings concerning breach of contract, industrial property, banking, unfair competition, civil and commercial contractual relations, insolvency proceedings, protection of fundamental rights, claims for contractual and non-contractual civil liability, and the financial liability of the Administration. She has also participated in legal proceedings before various courts in matters related to arbitration, such as the enforcement of awards, precautionary measures and the exequatur of foreign awards in Spain.
Success stories / main clients
Catherine has experience in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in intellectual property matters before the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Centre, as well as in ADR in European Union trade mark and design matters before the EUIPO. She has also participated in proceedings before the ICAM Court of Arbitration as a party’s solicitor. She has practised as a solicitor with the Madrid Bar Association for almost 20 years since 2006.
