The event was attended by <a href=\"https:\/\/lupicinio.com\/en\/lawyer\/jesus-salmeron\/\"><b>Jes\u00fas Salmer\u00f3n Unturbe<\/b><\/a>, <b><i>Senior Counsel of the Firm and Director responsible for Latin America<\/i><\/b>, representing<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> Lupicinio International Law Firm,<\/span> at the special invitation of the international law firm based in Santo Domingo, <a href=\"https:\/\/rvhb.com\/the-firm\/\"><b>RUSSIN VECCHI &amp; HEREDIA BONETTI<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The event featured a variety of very interesting presentations by all participants, highlighting the importance of the <em>\u2018brand\u2019<\/em> as a distinctive element, both nationally and internationally. Likewise, the importance of regulation in this area as a means of defending the industrial and\/or intellectual property of authors with respect to their various creations was also highlighted. For a more educational presentation of the interesting ideas discussed, intellectual property in musical creations was used as an example, and the exact name of the event was: <b><i>\u2018WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY DAY &#8211; Intellectual Property and Music: To the Rhythm of Intellectual Property\u2019<\/i><\/b>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the image reproduced here, we can see <b>Jes\u00fas Salmer\u00f3n Unturbe<\/b> from LILF, accompanying the Deputy Minister of the Dominican Republic for the Promotion of MSMEs, <i>Dr. Jorge Morales<\/i>; the speaker, musician and composer <i>\u2018Pochi Familia\u2019<\/i>; the Director General of ONAPI, <i>Dr.<\/i> <i>Salvador Ramos<\/i>; the head of business at the Embassy of the United States of America in the Dominican Republic, <i>Mr. Daniel Butterfoss<\/i>; the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology of the Dominican Republic, <i>Dr. Franklin Garc\u00eda Ferm\u00edn<\/i>; and the director of ONDA (National Copyright Office), <i>Mr. Jos\u00e9 Rub\u00e9n Gonell<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting was of great interest and advocated for greater global protection of the legitimate rights of authors and creators.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From LILF, we would like to congratulate all the participants, and especially ONAPI and its director, Dr. Salvador Ramos, for the successful organisation of the event.
